How to make homemade wholemeal bread
It's always a pleasure to make your own bread! This time I'm sharing my whole wheat bread recipe with you, a delicious bread full of fiber that's easy to make!
Ingredients :
- 500g of wholemeal (T150) or semi-wholemeal (T110) wheat flour
- 200g of white flour
- 60 g of wheat bran
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 20g of fresh yeast or 10g of dried yeast
- 500 ml of lukewarm water
- a handful of whole wheat flour to form the loaves
Preparation :
In the bowl of a food processor or in a large bowl, mix the wholemeal flour with the white flour and the wheat bran, add the salt, the yeast and the lukewarm water, gathering the dough together.
Knead the dough, adding water little by little until the dough is smooth, elastic and slightly sticky.
Cover and let rise for 45 minutes, the dough should double in volume.
On a floured work surface, divide the dough into 4 portions and roll it out to form loaves which you flatten by hand and place on the baking tray.
Cover and let rise again for 40 minutes.
Using a spray bottle, moisten the surface of the bread and bake at 220°C for 30 to 35 minutes. The bread should be golden brown.
